COMING-UP GOODWOOD REVIVAL MEETING

COMING-UP MILLE MIGLIA 2016

The XK150 "S" Competition S830506DN was driven by the Oscar Winner "Jerry" Martin Goldsmith in 1958-1963, California USA. He raced the car in several endurance races over the years. Although, the XK150 become out of date, but at the time, the S830560DN was beating several racing D- & E-types.

Jerry was a composer and he claimed that his racing success with the car was due to his sense of rhythms. He used the car daily to and from his rehearses with the Los Angeles Philharmonics and various recording studios. At one occasion he was fined by the LAPD due to the loud noise characteristics. Jerry explained, without success, that it could not be compared to "noise" - more like music!

Jerry passed away in his house at the Beverly Hills 2004.

This car was rescued from a poorly refit and has now undergone a professional restoration under the ownership of a Swedish collector.

Engine, brakes and driveline are restored and tuned by Trendab Motorsport in Sweden during 2015-2016. Coachwork is restored by Motorima in Sweden 2016.
